Does the glass get hot?

The glass gets hot on the side facing the fire, but not too hot to touch.  It gets warm on the side facing the room.

Do I need a vent at the bottom?

If you have a real fire, this is recommended to assist with the "draw".  Otherwise, it is a matter of personal preference.

Do you hold fire guards in stock?

Our fireguards are made to measure, so we do not tend to hold stock.  We do however keep a few of the most common sizes - please email us for details.
